Homebirth Midwifery
I offer comprehensive and holistic preconception and prenatal care, assistance of your homebirth, and postpartum care up to 6 weeks. You are welcome to ask me about a program I am currently designing that would include care and consultation through your child’s third year of life.
Prenatal care includes a visit of, on average, an hour once a month for the first 28 weeks, once every two weeks until 34 weeks, a home visit at around 36 weeks and a visit every week thereafter until you birth your baby. I am on call for you and available for phone calls during this time and certainly around your due date. Postpartum, I offer two home visits within the first five days and then additional visits every two weeks until about six weeks after your birth, including both well-baby care as well as postpartum support with breastfeeding and the mother’s general health.
The Midwifery Model of Care takes into account not only physical symptoms and measurements, but also social, psychological, emotional and spiritual factors, as all of these have equal weight on our lives and, as such, births. Nutritional counseling, information about what testing is available to you and your baby prenatally and postpartum, and what to have at home in preparation for your homebirth are only a few of the topics discussed at your visits, as we get to know each other through the journey of your gestation. I also like to incorporate – and round out care – with activities like birth art as well as movement, including pelvic muscle aid and position practice.
Because I think every woman and her family should have access to homebirth and the midwifery model of care, I offer a sliding scale in terms of fee for care. The range is $2500 – $4500 and covers comprehensive prenatal, birth and postpartum care. Not included are lab fees, newborn exams and medications, should you choose them, and your own homebirth supplies. Please know that if you are able and willing to pay the top fee, you are helping another family have the incredible experience of homebirth.

I offer Well-Woman care, for annual exams, beyond the scope of your birth.
Monitrice Services
For those not seeking to birth their babies at home, I offer monitrice services, where I give you midwifery care prenatally and during labor and then accompany you to the institution you have chosen, as your doula.
Childbirth Education
I offer private or group childbirth education, combining theory with experiential learning and discussion, upon request.
